南阿蘇の豊かな自然環境の中に建つホテルの改修計画です。既存建物の構成を活かしながら、周囲の風景との関係性を見直し、滞在体験の質を高めることを目指しました。

建築の内外に連続性を与えることで、室内にいながらも外部の気配を感じられる構成としています。素材や光のあり方を整えることで、過度な演出に頼らず、静かに風景と向き合う空間をつくっています。

日常から離れた土地の魅力を引き出しながら、訪れる人がゆったりと時間を過ごせる、落ち着きのある滞在環境となることを意図しています。

A renovation project for a hotel set within the rich natural landscape of Minamiaso.While retaining the existing structure, the design reconsiders its relationship with the surrounding scenery to enhance the quality of the stay.

By creating continuity between interior and exterior, the space allows guests to remain connected to the outside environment even while indoors.Through a careful use of materials and light, the architecture avoids excessive expression and instead frames a quiet dialogue with the landscape.

The project seeks to draw out the unique character of its setting, offering a calm and comfortable　environment where visitors can slow down and experience time more gently.
