南阿蘇のTHE ACONCAGUA RESORTS のバーラウンジの改修を行った。
会員専用ラウンジやホテル貸切結婚式で利用されるバーを想定する事、景観が良い側ではない場所に非日常を作り出す事が求められた。既存のラウンジは、駐車場と隣接しており、宿泊客の出入りする車の喧騒を感じる空間であったが、目隠しと外部アクセントとして、ホテルロビーからプール越しに見えるこのホテルで一番景色の良い山の風景をかたどって、転写したRC塀を作った。またその中に日常の音をかき消す仕掛けとして塀を流水させて、植栽を植え込み人口的な非日常を作りだした。バー内部も当初のホテルデザインを踏襲するように自然素材である塗り版築や、木ルーバーで構成して落ち着きのある空間を作った。
南阿蘇という非日常の自然豊かな場所の中で更に非日常に没頭できる空間を目指した設計としている。

The bar lounge at THE ACONCAGUA RESORTS in Minamiaso was renovated to serve as both a members-only lounge and a venue for private wedding receptions.

Located beside a parking area, the original space lacked a sense of calm and scenic quality. To transform this condition, an RC wall was introduced as both a visual screen and a focal element, featuring a transferred silhouette of the mountain landscape visible from the hotel lobby. A flowing water element and planting were integrated to mask everyday noise and create an immersive, non-ordinary atmosphere.

The interior follows the hotel’s original design language, using natural materials such as earthen finishes and wooden louvers to form a quiet, cohesive space.

The project seeks to deepen the sense of escape within the rich natural setting of Minamiaso.
